Welcome Back to the 2025 School Year at Mesorah!
With the start of a brand-new school year, the halls of Mesorah High School for Girls are once again filled with energy, excitement, and anticipation. The first days back always brings with it a special kind of joy—a fresh slate, new opportunities, and the promise of growth and accomplishment.
This year, we are especially thrilled to welcome two new senior administrators, Mrs. Batya Epstein, Judaic Studies Principal, and Dr. Joleta Gallozzi, General Studies Principal, as well as both our returning students and our newest 9th-grade class into a community that is built on Torah values, academic excellence, and a spirit of togetherness. With inspiring leadership, devoted faculty, and a supportive parent body, the year ahead is brimming with possibilities.
At Mesorah, every school year is more than just classes and homework—it’s about nurturing each girl’s potential, celebrating her individuality, and preparing her for a meaningful future. We can’t wait to see all that 2025 will bring!
Ninth-Grade Parent Orientation
From the Desk of Mrs. Batya Epstein, Judaic Studies Principal
It is with tremendous gratitude and excitement that I begin my role as Judaic Studies Principal at Mesorah High School for Girls. As both a Mesorah mother and now as part of the administration, I feel privileged to share with you what makes Mesorah so special.
A Mother’s Perspective
At 9th Grade Orientation, I spoke about my personal journey as a Mesorah parent. I am blessed with six very different daughters, each with her own strengths, personality, and path. What always amazed me was how each one was treated with care, respect, and as an individual. Mesorah gave them the space to flourish, to grow into themselves, and to be truly prepared for life beyond high school.
One of my daughters once told me, “Mesorah gave me the space to become the best possible version of myself.” I can think of no better way to describe the heart of our school.
Our Teachers and Staff
At “Meet the Teachers Night,” I shared how fortunate we are to have such a dedicated team. The administration and staff are deeply committed to each student’s success. They meet our girls where they are—academically, socially, and spiritually—and help them take the next steps in their growth. It is inspiring to witness their devotion and their ability to bring out the best in every young woman.
Looking Ahead
As we move through this school year, I am excited to continue building strong relationships with our students and with you, their parents. Together, we will ensure that each girl feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach her full potential.
Thank you for trusting us with the great privilege of educating your daughters. I look forward to sharing many more moments of pride and joy with you throughout the year.
Warmly,
Mrs. Batya Epstein

First Day of School
From the Desk of Dr. Joleta Gallozzi, General Studies Principal
I am honored to join Mesorah High School for Girls as the new General Studies Principal. With 35 years of experience as a teacher, school administrator, and adjunct faculty member at the University of Phoenix and the University of Denver, I bring with me a deep passion for education and a lifelong commitment to helping students reach their fullest potential.
Strengthening Our Curriculum
Over the summer, I carefully reviewed the Mesorah General Studies program. My goal has been to formalize a curriculum that aligns with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) while still offering flexibility and options to meet the unique needs of all our students. This ensures that our students are not only receiving a strong academic foundation, but are also being equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in their following stages of life.
Our Academic Program
Mesorah’s General Studies program is built on the four core classes: Mathematics, Science, History, and English Language Arts. Within these subjects, we differentiate instruction to support each student at her level. To further challenge our students, we also offer honors courses at every grade and Advanced Placement opportunities for our upperclassmen. In this way, every student can be challenged, supported, and inspired to achieve her personal best.
Looking Ahead
As we begin this school year, I am especially excited to meet our incoming 9th-grade girls and their families. Together, we will embark on a journey of growth, discovery, and accomplishment. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure that every Mesorah student continues to thrive academically and beyond.
Warmly,
Dr. Joleta Gallozzi
