At Mesorah High School for Girls, we believe in something extraordinary: when one Mesorah girl celebrates a simcha, every Mesorah girl shares in the celebration. Because Mesorah isn’t just a school—it’s a lifelong sisterhood. And this week, that sisterhood had a beautiful reason to rejoice.
Mesorah alumna Bracha Leba Eidenson (née Hurwitz) and her husband, Bentzy, welcomed a baby boy (whom they named Yehuda Shimon), and his bris took place on November 12, 2025. But what made the moment especially meaningful was the presence of fellow Mesorah sisters who came to celebrate—not out of obligation, but out of genuine love.
Joining in the simcha were:
- Yehudis Lieberstein (née Epstein)
- Leeba Felder (née Udman)
- Bracha Leba Eidenson (née Hurwitz)
- Shoshana Schickler (née Rich)
- Penina Raofim (née Sionit)
Not pictured:
- Zoe Azatchi (née Schechter)
- Shani Blumberg (née Epstein)
- Laya Goldberg (née Udman)
Seeing these alumnae—now proud, married women—gathering together as if no time has passed is the essence of Mesorah. It’s the living proof that the friendships formed in our hallways are not temporary; they’re the kind that blossom into shared simchos, support systems, and lifelong bonds.
Each hug exchanged, each mazal tov whispered, each shared memory resurfaced is a reminder: Once a Mesorah girl, always a Mesorah girl.

We wish the Eidenson family endless nachas from their new son, and we celebrate not only their simcha but the beautiful unity it inspires. May this be the first of many milestones this new little boy shares with the incredible Mesorah family surrounding him.
Mazal tov to Bracha Leba, her husband, and the entire extended Mesorah sisterhood! ■
