A Week of Learning and Connection
As the sun sets on our first week back at Mesorah High School, we’re thrilled to report that the halls are buzzing with energy! Students have settled into their classrooms, forging connections with their teachers and classmates. From algebra equations to Rashi and Ramban, the pursuit of knowledge is in full swing.
Heartfelt Moments
Our Davening heads have been leading the charge in fostering a deeper connection to tefillah (prayer). Their motto—“It is better to have a heart with no words than words without a heart”—resonates with all of us. To celebrate this sentiment, each student received a heart-shaped keychain and sweet candies—a tangible reminder to infuse our prayers with sincerity. continued below →
Rosh Chodesh Extravaganza
The Girls’ Organization (G.O.) outdid themselves with an unforgettable Rosh Chodesh activity. This month, as we embrace Elul—a time of serious introspection and growth—the theme was none other than France! Parlez-vous francais? Picture this: a delightful crêpe bar where students crafted their own sweet and savory crêpes and colorful vision boards adorned with aspirations for the month ahead. Vive la créativité!
Disconnect to Connect: A Community-wide Initiative
Mesorah is proud to join the Dallas community in the “Disconnect to Connect” initiative. In a world where screens dominate our lives, this movement encourages us to unplug, engage face-to-face, and deepen our relationships. Whether it’s a heartfelt conversation with a friend or a leisurely stroll in the park, we’re committed to making meaningful connections. Check out the attached flyer for details—it’s a powerful reminder that together, we can amplify the impact.
Remember, it’s not just about logging off; it’s about logging in—to each other’s lives, experiences, and stories. Let’s make this initiative a resounding success by participating wholeheartedly!
Stay tuned for more updates, and may this school year be filled with growth, joy, and many shared moments. ■
