Plano, North Eruv, and South Eruv—A Shabbos of Togetherness
This past Shabbos, the Mesorah High School for Girls community came together in a heartwarming display of unity and camaraderie. The occasion? Student-led Oneg Shabbos gatherings held throughout our neighborhoods. These events allowed our students to bond outside the classroom, share Torah insights, and create lasting memories.
Plano: The Wortendyke Family Opens Their Home
In Plano, the Wortendyke family graciously hosted an Oneg Shabbos. Their warm hospitality set the stage for an evening filled with laughter, song, and inspiration. But that wasn’t all—the highlight of the evening was guest speaker Shira Robkin, who captivated the girls with her words of wisdom.
North Eruv: The Rich Family’s Gathering
Up in the North Eruv, the Rich family welcomed our students into their home. Amidst the cozy ambiance, Shuvi—a past student and current teacher—shared a beautiful Dvar Torah. Her thoughtful reflections on the weekly Torah portion resonated with everyone present. It’s moments like these that make our community feel like an extended family, where each girl’s voice matters.
As the girls chatted, laughed, and savored delicious food, it was evident that these bonds extended far beyond the classroom walls.
South Eruv: The Blitz Family’s Warm Welcome
Meanwhile, down in the South Eruv, the Blitz family hosted another delightful Oneg Shabbos. What made this gathering even more special was the presence of Mrs. Abrams and Mrs. Rosenblatt, who joined the festivities. Their participation underscored the strong connections between our students and their teachers.
