This past Shabbos, I had the privilege of spending Shabbos at the home of Mrs. Suri Rosenblatt—and it was a truly special experience. At Mesorah High School for Girls, we are fortunate to have opportunities like these, where Shabbos becomes a bridge between classroom learning and personal connection.
From the moment I walked into Mrs. Rosenblatt’s home, the atmosphere was warm, calm, and inviting. The meals were delicious and filled with thoughtful and inspiring conversation. It was a Shabbos of laughter, reflection, and bonding—an experience that left me feeling uplifted and connected in a way that only an authentic Shabbos can provide.
What makes these Shabbatons so meaningful is the chance to see our teachers in a different light. Spending time with them outside of the school helps strengthen the student-teacher relationship in a real and lasting way. I’m grateful to Mrs. Rosenblatt for opening her home and heart to us and Mesorah for making these moments possible.
As the school year comes to a close, I can’t help but feel nostalgic. These Shabbatons have been some of my favorite parts of high school, and I’ll miss them next year. They’ve helped shape my experience at Mesorah, and I’ll carry the memories—and the relationships—forward with me. ■
