Last week at Mesorah High School for Girls was filled with connection, creativity, and chessed!
On Wednesday, our incredible seniors led with a completely student-initiated and student-run Senior-Freshie Lunch Activity! They made it happen from the planning to the hosting—and it was a hit! The event featured a delicious salad bar spread (colorful, fresh, and fabulous), engaging games, and most importantly, meaningful quality time spent bonding across the grades. It was a beautiful example of Mesorah students stepping up with warmth, leadership, and achdus.

The fun continued on Thursday with a fantastic chessed-themed activity led by our enthusiastic Chessed Heads, Adina Heimowitz and Aliza Sebbag (who couldn’t join us but played a huge role behind the scenes with planning and shopping!). We kicked things off with a hilarious and eye-opening round of Out of the Loop, an interactive game that highlighted the importance of including everyone—because at Mesorah, nobody gets left out!
Then came the main event: a food competition with a twist! Each team had to create something using the ingredients provided that connected to either chessed or Pesach. The creativity was next-level, the laughter was nonstop, and the results? Deliciously inspiring! (We did miss our 10th graders who were away taking their PSAT—go sophomores!)
To top it off, students received a Chessed Hours Chart to fill in over Pesach break. This encouraged everyone to get involved at home by helping with preparations or lending a hand in any way they can.
We’re so proud of our students for taking initiative, including others, and bringing joy and meaning into everything they do! Mesorah girls, you inspire us every day. ■
