This past week at Mesorah High School for Girls was filled with meaningful programming, heartfelt tefillos, and an inspiring reminder of our connection to our heritage and each other.

Latte and Learn Program Kickoff
On Friday, the school launched its much-anticipated Latte and Learn program, thanks to our dedicated Big and Little Sister heads, Baila Grebenau and Chayala Heimowitz. Every 9th and 10th grader was paired with an 11th or 12th-grade partner, creating a special opportunity for connection, mentorship, and Torah growth. The program began with students gathering around a delicious spread of iced coffee, setting a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With cups in hand, everyone moved to the library, where a wide selection of books and seforim was laid out for them to explore. Together, sisters chose topics that sparked their interest, delving into meaningful conversations and shared learning. It was a beautiful scene of bonding, growth, and inspiration as older students guided their younger peers on a journey of Torah study.
Coming Together in Prayer for Eretz Yisroel
On Monday, Mesorah joined Klal Yisroel in answering the kol korei from our gedolim to daven for the challenging situation in Eretz Yisroel. Before Mincha, the entire school gathered to recite chapters of Tehillim and special tefillos that had been distributed. In the midst of a world in need of healing and peace, our students’ voices rose together, demonstrating the power of unity and heartfelt prayer. It was a moving experience that reminded each of us of our responsibility to join our prayers with those of Jews around the world.
Rochel Imeinu’s Yahrzeit – An Emotional Reminder
Today, on the yahrzeit of Rochel Imeinu, our school watched a moving video that highlighted her enduring role as a mother figure who continues to cry for us throughout our galus. The video beautifully illustrated how, as we cry out in our own challenges and hardships, Mama Rochel cries alongside us, yearning for the final geula. The message resonated deeply, stirring hope that we will soon see the fulfillment of Veshavu Banim Legvulam—the return of her children to their borders.
This week was a true testament to the strength of our school community, rooted in Torah, caring, and a collective yearning for growth and redemption. Mesorah High School for Girls continues to nurture connections—between students, with our past, and with Hashem—while making a difference within and beyond our walls. ■
