In a powerful and heartfelt display of achdus and tefillah, the students of Mesorah High School for Girls, led by Chayala Heimowitz and Baila Grebenau, recently gathered for a meaningful Brachos Party, dedicated as a zechus (merit) for the safe return of the remaining Israeli hostages. The event, filled with deep emotion, brought the students together with a shared purpose of connecting their actions to the needs of Am Yisrael.
The Brachos Party took place with the girls sitting together in a large circle, creating an atmosphere of closeness and intention. One by one, each student read aloud the name of a hostage for whom they were dedicating their bracha. Full of kavana, they recited a bracha (blessing) in the zechus for that individual, infusing every word with hope and sincerity.
The circle continued until each participant had the opportunity to contribute her bracha. The room was filled with a palpable sense of purpose as every girl’s voice echoed the collective longing for the captives’ freedom and safety.
Following the brachos, the students joined together in heartfelt song, beginning with Acheinu—a moving plea for unity and compassion among the Jewish people. The voices continued to rise in the uplifting words of Shir Hamaalos and Ani Maamin, expressing faith in Hashem’s ultimate redemption and the unwavering belief in brighter days ahead.
The event was not only a beautiful display of Mesorah High School for Girls’ commitment to Torah values but also a reminder of the immense power of tefillah and communal action. By joining their voices and efforts, the students created a profound Kiddush Hashem, serving as an inspiration for others to use their own actions as a force for good in the world.

As the girls left the circle, the echoes of their brachos and songs lingered, a testament to their hope and unwavering connection to their brothers and sisters in Eretz Yisrael. May their heartfelt efforts, along with those of Klal Yisrael, bring about the safe return of the hostages and peace for all of Am Yisrael. ■
