A huge thank you to our incredible G.O. heads, Adina Heimowitz and Sori Blitz, for planning and executing such a phenomenal Mesorah retreat! From the very first moment to the very last song at the kumzitz, every detail reflected hours of brainstorming, creativity, and care that went into making this experience unforgettable.
The day began after davening with a light breakfast of cookies, iced coffee, and cereal and milk—just the right fuel to get the energy going! Then came a lively game of musical chairs, laughter echoing through the room as students and teachers alike joined in the fun.
Soon it was time to load the vans and head to InterSkate Roller Rink, where everyone enjoyed skating, playing games, and spending time together off campus. Before leaving, G.O. surprised everyone with refreshing ices for the ride—because no Mesorah trip is complete without a sweet touch of thoughtfulness!
When we arrived at the Airbnb, everyone was amazed by the beautiful grounds and incredible facilities. After a delicious lunch of bagels, cream cheese, and veggies, the girls enjoyed an afternoon packed with activity and adventure—waterslide, kayaking, paddle boats, swimming pool, hot tubs, volleyball, basketball, pool table, tetherball, zip line, and more! Between the activities, G.O. made sure snacks, fruits, and vegetables were always available for everyone to enjoy.
The retreat offered a perfect blend of fun, friendship, and relaxation, with students and teachers bonding over board games, card games, and good conversation. As the sun began to set, G.O. prepared a delicious dinner of grilled chicken, schnitzel, coleslaw, veggies, rolls, and refreshing drinks—topped off with fruit and snacks for dessert.
After dinner came more rounds of volleyball, prisoner, basketball, and Anagrams before gathering around a glowing bonfire for s’mores and a beautiful kumzitz. Mrs. Becher shared heartfelt reflections that deepened the moment, and the singing built to a high, joyous dance that ended the night on a note of true Mesorah spirit—simcha, achdus, and inspiration.
A quick cleanup later, we were back on the road home—tired but glowing from an unforgettable day.
A special thank you to our devoted staff and teachers who joined and enhanced the experience: Mrs. Abrams, Mrs. Becher, Mrs. Epstein, Mrs. Rich, Chana Wachsman, Mrs. Yurowitz, and to Rabbi Kosowsky for driving! Your presence made this retreat truly special and helped create incredible memories outside the classroom. ■
