Every Thursday at Mesorah High School for Girls, the “Sweetie of the Week” presentation highlights acts of kindness and sweetness within the student body. Organized by Chaya Glazer and Adina Adlerstein, this initiative provides a platform for students to recognize each other’s thoughtful gestures. Girls nominate peers who performed acts of kindness during the week, and one lucky nominee is selected as the “Sweetie of the Week.”

This week’s event kicked off with an exciting game of Human Bingo. Students had to find classmates who fit specific fun categories, such as “drove to school today. ” But there was a twist—before marking off a box, they first had to offer a genuine compliment to the person. This heartwarming twist made the activity more engaging and fostered a positive and uplifting environment.
The winner of the Human Bingo challenge received a special prize: a bowl of sweets for the week!
To end the celebration, students came together for a spirited dance party. The room was filled with music, laughter, and camaraderie as everyone joined in, making the atmosphere lively and fun.
The Sweetie of the Week presentation continues to be a highlight at Mesorah High School, encouraging positivity, connection, and joy among students. ■
