As we approach Rosh Hashana, I want to pause and reflect on the wonderful beginning to our school year at Mesorah. It has been nothing short of remarkable.
Our students have settled into their learning with a seriousness of purpose and a deep focus that is inspiring to see. Committees are buzzing with energy, filling the halls with excitement and creativity. Our teachers are teaching with focus, organization, and enthusiasm, creating an environment where every student can thrive.
We are especially blessed this year with tremendous leadership from both our Judaic and General Studies Principals, Mrs. Batya Epstein and Dr. Joleta Gallozzi. Their vision and guidance have already elevated the learning experience in both realms of our students’ education. In addition, Mrs. Susan Rich, Assistant Principal,is the address for student support and success. Her responsibilities bridge both the academic and personal development of students, helping every girl feel cared for and empowered to reach her potential. I also want to recognize our Mechaneches, Mrs. Ahuva Becher, whose creativity, energy, and dedication to student life help make the Mesorah experience vibrant, joyful, and deeply meaningful for our girls.
But we know that such a fantastic start doesn’t happen by chance. It is the product of a summer filled with dedication, planning, and preparation—by our staff, our faculty, and even our students, who returned ready to give their best. Their efforts are paying off, and it is a privilege to witness the fruits of their hard work.
Chazal teach us in the Gemara, “Simanei Milsa”—the beginning of a matter is often a sign of what is to come. With such a strong and uplifting start, we have every reason to believe that this year will bring significant growth and accomplishment for all.
As we enter Rosh Hashana, the Day of Judgment, let us draw inspiration from this momentum. Just as we invest so much into preparing for a successful school year, so too must we prepare ourselves spiritually for a successful year of life. May the beginning of this year indeed be a sign of the blessings to follow.
On behalf of the entire Mesorah family, I wish each of you and your families a Kesiva V’Chasima Tova—to be written and sealed for a year of health, growth, and bracha.
