Rosh Chodesh days have always held a special place at Mesorah, and this week’s Rosh Chodesh Mar Cheshvan was no exception.
Many students marked the day by adding a touch of elegance to their uniforms—sweaters, cardigans, and smiles—reflecting the unique kedusha of Rosh Chodesh, a day considered a yom tov for women. The beautiful voices of our students filled the hallways as they gathered in the library to sing Hallel together, creating an atmosphere of inspiration and unity.
On Thursday, Mrs. Epstein delighted the faculty with freshly baked cookies in honor of Rosh Chodesh, while the students enjoyed an array of iced coffees generously sponsored by a Mesorah alumna who chose to remain anonymous. This thoughtful gesture beautifully demonstrated one of the highest forms of chesed—giving quietly and without recognition.
A heartfelt thank you to our anonymous sponsor for adding sweetness and meaning to our Rosh Chodesh celebration, and for reminding us all of the quiet power and beauty found in doing mitzvos lishmah—purely for the sake of Hashem.
All the best,
Mrs. Susan Rich
Assistant Principal
